Joyetech Ocular C 150W Mod Review

The Joyetech Ocular is a futuristic mod that comes with touchscreen functionality and has many features. You can use the mod as a mp3 player or even use it to count your steps while you’re out and about. The Ocular C is just a few steps shy of being a smartphone.

There are two models of the Ocular C mod. One of the model has a maximum wattage output of 80W, and the other can produce up to 150W. In this review, we will be looking at the 150W Ocular C mod which has a dimension of 91.5mm by 45mm by 32mm.

The Ocular C 150W Mod has a 1.68 inches colored LED screen on its side that displays the usual information about the mod like resistance, battery, wattage, battery level, and time. The mod supports temperature settings for titanium nickel and stainless steel coil in temperature control mode. It also has a wattage mode and TCR mode. The mod supports a resistance range of 0.05 ohms to 1.5 ohms in temperature control mode and 0.1 ohms to 3.0 ohm in normal wattage mode. In temperature mode, you can set the mod between 200 degrees Fahrenheit to 600 degrees Fahrenheit.

Like most mods on the market, you have to click the side fire button five times to switch the mod on and off. You can lock the touchscreen to avoid tampering with the settings unintentionally. The screen is automatically locked each time you take a hit.

The Joyetech Ocular C 150W Mod has many unique features that make it stand out from other touchscreen mods on the market. It comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a built-in mp3 player with 2GB of memory. You can also upload your images to set a customized wallpaper and screensaver for the mod. It also has an image viewer. The mod only supports JPEG images. That’s not all, the mod even has a puff counter and steps counter. You can set a maximum daily puff limit, and the device would stop you from vaping when you have reached the limit. The pedometer gives you a reason to take this mod along on your walks.

Another cool feature about the Ocular C 150W Mod is that there is a mobile and PC app for the mod. The apps allow you to manipulate all the settings of the mod from your phone. You can connect the device to your phone or computer via Bluetooth. There is also a USB cord in the package that can be used to connect the mod.

There is a spring-loaded 510 pin connection on top of the Ocular C mod for attaching your tank. It would fit any tank with a diameter of 22mm to 25mm without any overhang.  The mod runs on dual 18650 batteries. The battery compartment is located at the bottom of the mod, and the cover has a lock to keep the batteries from falling out. There are ventilation holes at the bottom of the mod to keep the battery from overheating. A USB port is located on the side of the mod, below the headphone jack, to charger the device and upgrade the firmware. Joyetech is working on  firmware for the Ocular C that will increase its wattage output to 200W. At the moment, the firmware has not been released.

The Joyetech Ocular is one of the mods that is pushing the limit of innovation. Perhaps, the next generation of advanced mods would be able to detect the level of the e-liquid in your tank and tell you when to refill.
